Unit Description

This is the first semester of a two-semester project unit. It provides experience in solving advanced engineering management problems and the opportunity to apply the knowledge gained throughout the Master of Engineering Management.

Management approaches and tools can be used to solve problems that confront engineers. However, the management approach needs identifying and justifying before it can be implemented. The ability to frame a management approach to an engineering problem is essential to professional practice. From a learning perspective, one of the most effective ways of achieving this is to investigate an authentic engineering problem that is relevant to your profession.
