Unit Description

Human beings engage in information environments of ever-increasing complexity both within organisations and socially. In these environments, human beings interact with information in various ways. This unit introduces principles of cognitive science relevant to understanding how human beings process information and make decisions.

In addition, the unit presents relevant frameworks to understand what information really is. Understanding both of these aspects is necessary for modern organisations to be able to exploit their data for effective decision-making.
