Unit Description

Preparation is a fundamental concern for disaster emergency services and agencies. In this unit you will engage in the real-world assessment of disaster risk and the strategies of forming resilient disaster and emergency response processes. You will reflect on the international understanding of disaster risk, locating disaster and emergency response in a global context, based on the Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction 2015–2030 and the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
