Pioneering security and cyber resilience

New cyber threats are always emerging, making the cyber security industry lucrative. As a cyber security professional, you will solve complex problems and analyse new potential threats to your organisation.

Practical experience is at the core of your bootcamp, with units focused heavily on giving you the hands-on skills to solve real-world industry issues. You will also connect with employers who will help you navigate your future as a cyber security expert.

In as little as six months, you will become a key asset to any organisation in a growing industry. With many opportunities out there, you could lead the build of security networks as a cyber security architect.

Entry requirements

You can gain entry into the Cyber Security and Resilience Bootcamp with:

6-month program

  • A recognised bachelor degree (or higher qualification) in any discipline

or

  • A recognised diploma (or higher qualification) in any discipline followed by at least two years full-time (or equivalent) professional work experience in an information technology-related field

or

  • At least five years full-time (or equivalent) professional work experience in an information technology-related field.

No. The units in this course are not deemed as equivalent to any other QUT units.

In this Graduate Certificate, we run roughly 40 labs that use lots of different cyber tools. We cover basic networking tools; Wireshark; antivirus software; SIEM; ethical hacking tools; active directory tools; IDS; encryption and cryptography tools; Shodan.io; web application security tools; SQL Injection and Sqlmap; DevSecOps tools; cloud security platforms; plus many more.

Yes, CSPs are available for all Information Technology courses, including bootcamps. CSPs allow domestic students to have a significant portion of their university or higher education fees subsidised by the Australian government.
