Graduate Diploma in Information Technology (Data Science)
Course overview
Turn raw data into actionable insights
In today’s tech-driven world, data is the new currency. But raw data alone doesn’t change businesses, solve problems, or spark innovation; that takes skilled, strategic thinkers who can decode complexity and turn it into action.
The Graduate Diploma in Information Technology (Data Science) is built for professionals looking to specialise or those looking to shift into new roles without committing to a full master’s degree. You’ll build the ability to critically analyse complex IT problems, apply industry-best practice methods and design innovative solutions that bridge the gap between data and decision-making. You’ll also sharpen your communication and collaboration skills, gaining the confidence to work across diverse teams and professional contexts.
Developed by experts from QUT’s Centre for Data Science, you’ll gain practical, job-ready skills in programming, analytics, statistics, and cyber security. This course also provides articulation into the 12-month Master of Information Technology, giving you the opportunity to extend your study and specialise further.
