This flexible course can be completed in 12 months full-time or part-time, letting you balance study with your existing commitments. You will start with core IT topics such as programming, web development, cyber security and systems design, before moving into AI-specific subjects including machine learning, natural language processing and trust and ethics frameworks.

This course also provides articulation into the 12-month Master of Information Technology, giving you the opportunity to extend your study and specialise further.

Entry requirements
You can gain entry into the Graduate Diploma in Information Technology (Artificial Intelligence) with the following:
1-year program
- A completed bachelor’s degree (or higher qualification) in any discipline
or
- A completed diploma (or higher qualification) in a relevant area, with at least two years (full-time or equivalent) professional experience in a relevant area
or
- Five years (full-time or equivalent) professional experience in a relevant area.

Early exit options
Students who are enrolled in this course may be eligible to exit their course with a Graduate Certificate of Information Technology (IQ18) after successful completion of an approved 48 credit points of units.
