Lead emergency operations from the front line

Studying this postgraduate degree in Emergency and Disaster Management with QUT Online, you will examine the underlying drivers of risk, taking into account the risk factors during, and in the aftermath of, an emergency.

Emergency and disaster management is a vital sector within the healthcare industry, and has a profound impact on the lives of individuals and communities who find themselves at the front-line of a natural or man-made disaster.

When an emergency situation does arise, strong leadership in the form of effective management is vital. Effective leaders are able to coordinate efficient responses that factor in unpredictability and rapidly changing circumstances.

You will gain practical skills in crisis communication planning and decision-making, and learn to operate in unstable and unpredictable environments with decisiveness.

Subsidised Commonwealth Supported Places are available for this course.
